Waikato has more scholarships per student than any other university in New Zealand. There are scholarships and grants for many student groups, including secondary school leavers, Maori students and adult students, and in many subject areas.
Listed below are some of our scholarships, however further scholarship information can be found at the Scholarships Office.
The Scholarships Office provides support and advice to potential and enrolled students considering applying for scholarships by:
- offering or being the agent for a number of scholarships at school leaver, undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels.
- maintaining a website on which all scholarships which the University offers or for which it is an agent are advertised
- preparing a scholarships newsletter which provides up-to-date information about scholarships currently on offer
- providing a scholarships advisory service, available to all students applying for scholarships at this University.
